France in the World Cup: Mbappé seeks to repeat top scorer against Paraguay

One of the greats in the history of World Cups, Kylian Mbappé could repeat an important feat in the game against Paraguay. In the two World Cups he has played in his career, France's number 10 has always scored goals in round of 16 duels and could equal the marks from 2018 and 2022 this Saturday (3).

When he played in his first World Cup, in 2018, Mbappé already shone in the round of 16 when he faced Argentina. On that occasion, France won 4-3, with the striker scoring twice and helping Les Bleus qualify for the quarter-finals.

Four years later, it was Poland's turn to suffer a lot with Kylian Mbappé. In France's 3-1 victory, the number 10 scored two goals and also provided an assist for Olivier Giroud to score the French's first on the occasion.

With six goals scored in the current edition of the World Cup, Mbappé wants to maintain his commitment to always scoring goals in the round of 16. After scoring twice against Sweden in the round of 32, the number 10 returns to the field at 6pm (Brasília time) to challenge the mark against Paraguay.
