France has decided to ban Israel's Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, from entering French territory, according to a social media post by Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, this Saturday (23).
"From today onwards, Itamar Ben-Gvir is banned from entering French territory", wrote Barrot in Italy, Ireland, Spain, France and Indonesia criticized the case.
The images were released on Telegram by the Israeli minister, Itamar Ben Gvir. The detainees appear lined up on the ground while the Israeli national anthem plays in the background.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized the release of the images by Ben Gvir, but defended the interception of the flotilla.
According to Netanyahu, the way the activists were treated "is not in accordance with Israeli values and norms."
At the same time, the prime minister stated that the flotilla represented an attempt to defy the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip and accused the organizers of acting in favor of the terrorist group Hamas.
