Former Corinthians, Janderson decides Vila Nova's victory and increases numbers in Series B

Revealed in Corinthians' youth categories, striker Janderson is having a good time wearing the Vila Nova shirt. Last Monday (6), the player scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over São Bernardo, in stoppage time of the match valid for Series B of the Brazilian Championship, a result that put the team from Goiás back in the lead of the competition.
The duel was played at the Onésio Brasileiro Alvarenga Stadium (OBA), in Goiânia. Vila Nova's first goal was scored by another former Corinthian, Marquinhos Gabriel, who played for the Parque São Jorge club between 2016 and 2018. In the final minutes, Janderson found the net and secured the three points for the team led by Luizinho Lopes.

With the victory, Vila Nova reached 31 points and regained first place in Series B, once again overtaking Novorizontino and Criciúma. The team returns to the field next Friday (10), at 7pm (Brasília time), when they face Juventude, at the Alfredo Jaconi Stadium.
In the current season, Janderson has played 23 games for the club from Goiás, with six goals scored and four assists. In Series B, there are five goals and four assists, directly participating in nine of the team's goals in the campaign that puts Vila Nova at the top of the competition.
The striker began his career at Corinthians in 2018, joining the Under-20 team. For the category, he played 47 matches and scored eight goals. The following year, he was promoted to the professional squad by coach Fábio Carille.
Between 2019 and 2020, Janderson played 38 games with the black and white shirt, scoring three goals and distributing three assists. He was then loaned to Atlético-GO, where he remained for two seasons.
Continuing his career, the striker also played for Grêmio on loan in 2022, participating in the campaign for the club from Rio Grande do Sul to gain access to Series A of the Brazilian Championship. In 2023, he was signed permanently by Ceará and subsequently played for Atlético-GO and Remo before arranging his arrival at Vila Nova for the 2026 season.
Experiencing his best run since arriving at the club from Goiás, Janderson has been one of the team's main offensive highlights and directly contributes to the campaign that keeps Vila Nova in contention for access to the elite of Brazilian football.
