Former Corinthians, Cacá and Ryan face each other in the final of the Copa do Nordeste; defender takes the title for Vitória

The 2026 Copa do Nordeste final featured two players linked to Corinthians. On the afternoon of last Saturday (6), Vitória beat Fortaleza 2 x 1, at Barradão, and won the regional title. Among the protagonists of the decision were defender Cacá, on loan to the Bahian club, and midfielder Ryan, who also defends the team from Ceará on loan.
After winning the first game by the same score, Vitória confirmed the achievement in front of their fans and lifted the trophy for the fifth time in history. With the result, the red and black team reached Bahia as the biggest champion of the competition.

Cacá started the match among the starters and participated in another important decision for the Bahian club. On the other side, Ryan started on the bench and was called on in the 29th minute of the second half for Fortaleza.
The confrontation was lively. Luiz Fernando opened the scoring for Fortaleza in the first stage. After the break, Vitória reacted and sought a turnaround with goals from Emmanuel Martínez and Renato Kayzer, who scored the title-winning goal in the final minutes of the match.
On loan from Corinthians since February, Cacá has been accumulating a streak as a starter in the team led by Jair Ventura. The defender has a loan contract valid until the end of the season and has played 23 matches, as well as one goal scored and one assist.
The defender even faced Corinthians himself during this year's Brazilian Championship. In the goalless draw between the teams, played at Barradão, Vitória had to pay the fine provided for in the contract to use the athlete. Cacá's contract with the Parque São Jorge club is valid until December 2028.
The agreement signed between Corinthians and Vitória also provides for the Bahian club to fully assume the player's salaries during the loan period. There is also a mandatory buyout clause if the team remains in Serie A at the end of the season.
Ryan, in turn, has been at Fortaleza since the beginning of 2026. The 22-year-old midfielder was on loan from Corinthians until December and participated in 21 matches for the Ceará club. During his time there, he also won the Cearense Championship and scored a goal.
The negotiation involving Ryan took place within the agreement that took midfielder Matheus Pereira to Corinthians. The Fortaleza player arrived at Timão on loan until the end of the season, with an option to purchase provided for in the contract.
