Ford do Brasil recalls Bronco Sport and Maverick and asks that affected units not be driven

Ford announced this Thursday (18) a recall for the Bronco Sport models, manufactured between 2021 and 2025, and Maverick, produced between 2022 and 2025, due to a problem fixing the lower front suspension arm. According to Ford, 237 units of the two vehicles are part of this recall.

The automaker recommends that owners of affected vehicles avoid driving the cars until service is carried out at a dealership.
The call occurs due to a fault detected in the assembly process. According to Ford, the lower arm of the front suspension, on both sides of the vehicles, may not be correctly fixed to the front wheel support.

If the fixing fails, the part may come loose from the wheel support. The defect carries the risk of the driver losing control of the moving vehicle, which increases the possibility of accidents with physical damage and fatal risks to the car's occupants and third parties.
The manufacturer informed that the solution to the problem consists of inspection and, if the need is identified, the free replacement of the front wheel support and the lower arm of the front suspension on both sides of the vehicle.

The estimated time for carrying out the service is approximately 20 minutes, although the period may vary depending on the flow of the chosen dealership.
Service for owners is now open. Customers must schedule the service, available from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
