For Márcio França, Tarcísio circulates with allies and the left wastes time
Former Minister of Entrepreneurship Márcio França (PSB) stated, in an interview with CNN Brasil this Tuesday (16), that he believes that the obstacle between allies in the campaign of former Minister of Finance Fernando Haddad (PT) generates a waste of time in the dispute for Palácio dos Bandeirantes.
França's reading is that the uncertainty about who will be Haddad's deputy or go to the Senate causes a delicate situation, at the same time that the governor of São Paulo, Tarcíso de Freitas (Republicans), is already promoting events with allies.
"We're wasting time. Tarcísio has been out there with his candidates together. We haven't done that because it's a delicate situation, we go to a place, I speak well of them and they also speak well of me, but none of them so far have said what I'm saying: 'I accept whatever the decision is'", stated the former minister.
Haddad's political field includes, in addition to France, the names of federal deputy and former Minister of the Environment Marina Silva (Rede) and the former Minister of Planning and Budget Simone Tebet (PSB) as pre-candidates for the Senate.
Despite the uncertainty, Lula demonstrated to his allies, as shown by CNN Brasil, a preference for the names of Marina and Tebet in the Senate. The assessment is that Marina can help in Lula's election in the capital of São Paulo and the metropolitan region, while Tebet has a better performance in the interior.
Meanwhile, France - which brings with it the recall of past elections and the electoral strength in Baixada Santista - has been resisting embracing the position of Haddad's deputy. "Naturally, I intend to run for election to the Senate and become a senator. I think it's important that we once again have weight in the Senate in São Paulo," said França this Tuesday.
Despite the desire to go to the Upper House, França said she respected Lula's final decision and that she understands that the other pre-candidates will also respect it.
"We are all friends, the intention should be like this: 'President, choose as you see fit, whatever way you do we will respect it'. I will accept what the president sees fit", he concluded.
