The wife of Venezuelan football player Hector Bello died as a result of the earthquake that hit Venezuela on Wednesday (24).

His daughter, still a baby, was found alive, according to the country's press. The building where the family lived, in the state of La Guaira, one of the most affected, collapsed.
Bello, 28 years old, is a defender and is currently without a club. Until 2025, he played for Bolívar SC, whose headquarters are in Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela.

Another player, Argentine Lucas Trejo, also announced that his family was missing after the tragedy.

Worst earthquake in 100 years years
➡ On Wednesday night (24), two earthquakes in sequence hit the northern region of the country, where Caracas is located. In addition to the deaths, the tremors collapsed buildings and left a trail of destruction in the Venezuelan capital and surrounding areas. The earthquakes were the strongest in the country in more than 100 years.
The most recent survey by the Venezuelan government indicates 188 deaths due to the tremors, in addition to 1,520 injured and 200 people trapped in rubble.
Rescue teams are now struggling to find the missing and remove people from the rubble. Groups set up by residents of the affected areas for those looking for relatives and acquaintances have already registered more than 24 thousand missing people.
Several countries, including the United States and Brazil, have announced that they will send teams to assist in the search.
