Football match will be broadcast with iPhones 17 Pro for the first time

For the first time, an iPhone 17 Pro will be responsible for broadcasting a live professional sports match. Next Saturday (23), the Major League Soccer game between LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo FC will be shown from different angles, all filmed with cell phones.

The experience was tested in September 2025, at a baseball match, when the device captured selected moments of the game and produced cinematic images of the stadium. The production was recognized by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, which placed an iPhone used in the broadcast in its permanent collection.

The coverage of the match between LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo FC will be recorded from the warm-up of the teams on the field, to the presentation of the players, the goal angles and the atmosphere inside the stadium.

This will be the last stage of Major League Soccer before the break for the 2026 World Cup. The game will be broadcast on Apple TV from iPhones 17 Pro next Saturday (23), at 8:30 pm (Brasília time).
