Foo Fighters is the last day to sell out in Rock in Rio pre-sales and raises alert about demand for tickets

Rock in Rio opened pre-sales of tickets for its 2026 edition after the full line-up was announced, and promotional tickets sold out in record time. The organization updated the availability of each date in real time, allowing us to observe which days had the highest demand and which took longer to sell.

Within this scenario, one fact caught our attention: the day led by Foo Fighters, scheduled for September 4th, was the last to sell out in pre-sales. The information surprised part of the public, as the band led by Dave Grohl is traditionally one of the strongest attractions in world rock and usually attracts large crowds.

The program for September 4th also features important names such as Rise Against, Nova Twins, The Hives and Capital Inicial with Dado Villa-Lobos. Even so, the date lagged behind other days of the festival in terms of sales speed of promotional tickets.

The contrast became even more evident when compared to the other so-called "Rock Day", scheduled for September 5th. This date, which brings together Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me The Horizon, mgk, Bad Omens, Sepultura and other names, was the third to sell out all tickets available in pre-sale.

The first days to sell out were September 6, with attractions such as Calvin Harris, Black Eyed Peas and Ne-Yo, and September 12th, which features Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, Mumford & Sons and other artists.

After September 5th, the next date to sell out was September 11th, which features Stray Kids and Alok. Then came September 7th, led by Elton John and with shows by Gilberto Gil, Jon Batiste and Laufey. Zara Larsson. Only later did the Foo Fighters date come, closing the pre-sale list.

Although the initial reading suggests less urgency for the band's fans, this does not necessarily mean low demand. The general sale, scheduled for June 8th, could completely change the scenario, as the volume of tickets and public behavior tend to be different at this stage.

Foo Fighters remain one of the most respected bands in contemporary rock. With a career marked by hits such as Everlong, Learn to Fly, The Pretender, Best of You and Times Like These, the group maintains a strong relationship with the Brazilian public.

The information, therefore, works more as a pre-sale thermometer than as a definitive diagnosis. Rock in Rio 2026 should still be in strong demand on all dates, especially when the general sale opens to the public.
