Fluminense removes Ganso while midfielder negotiates departure from the club

Fluminense announced this Tuesday (26) that Paulo Henrique Ganso will not be included in the team's next two commitments.

The decision comes after Ganso informed the board of other clubs' interest in signing him for the mid-year window. The player has a contract with Tricolor until December.

The Brazilian Championship regulations prevent athletes with more than 12 matches played from defending another club in the competition in the same edition. Ganso has already reached that limit.

Fluminense hosts Cusco this Tuesday, at Maracanã, in the sixth round of the Copa Libertadores. On Saturday, the team faces Coritiba, again at home, in the Brasileirão.
