Flamengo x Palmeiras: see the likely lineups for the Brasileirão game
Flamengo and Palmeiras face off this Saturday (23), at 9pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã, for the 17th round of the Brazilian Championship.
Verdão leads the table, with 35 points. The team is unbeaten in 11 matches and has drawn in the last three rounds, the most recent being against Cruzeiro, 1-1.
Rubro-Negro appears right behind, in second place, with 31 points. The Rio club has not lost in seven games and also drew 1-1 in their last match in the competition, against Athletico-PR.
Coach Abel Ferreira will have a series of absences: Piquerez, Vitor Roque, Bruno Fuchs, Benedetti and Ramón Sosa remain in the medical department.
Felipe Anderson, who was left out of the duel with Cerro Porteño in the Libertadores after suffering an injury to the hamstring of his left thigh, participated in activities with the team on Friday and could be involved again. The good news is the return of Allan, who was suspended.
In this way, a likely Palmeiras lineup has: Carlos Miguel; Giay, Murilo, Gustavo Gómez and Arthur; Marlon Freitas, Andreas Pereira, Allan and Maurício (Felipe Anderson); John Arias and Flaco López.
Coach Leonardo Jardim, in turn, will not be able to count on Danilo, sent off in the game against Athletico-PR due to the accumulation of yellow cards, in addition to Arrascaeta, who is recovering from collarbone surgery.
On the other hand, Jorginho and Evertton Araújo, who were suspended, are back. Erick Pulgar, who is recovering from a shoulder problem, and Gonzalo Plata, undergoing treatment for knee trauma, remain doubtful.
Flamengo should go to the field with: Rossi; Varela, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira and Alex Sandro; Evertton Araújo, Jorginho and Lucas Paquetá; Luiz Araújo (Plata), Samuel Lino and Pedro.
