Flamengo and Cruzeiro face each other again in the Libertadores after eight years
Conmebol held, this Friday morning (29), the draw for the Libertadores round of 16 matches.
One of the duels that attracts the most attention involves Brazilians, as the balls pitted Cruzeiro against the current continental champion, Flamengo.
The clash between the teams is not unprecedented in the history of the Libertadores - despite having only taken place in one knockout.
In the 2018 round of 16, Cruzeiro went to Maracanã and, with goals from Arrascaeta and Thiago Neves, beat Flamengo 2-0.
On the way back, Mengão even scored 1-0, with a goal from Léo Duarte at Mineirão, but Raposa advanced to the quarter-finals, where they would fall to Boca Junior.
The Xeneizes would lose the continental decision to River Plate.
