The result saw the Corinthians team provisionally jump to 11th place with 11 points - three wins, two draws and seven defeats - 19 goals scored and 26 conceded.

Scorer of Timão's second goal in the game, Da Bonja gave an interview to the press minutes after the clock ran out, and highlighted the importance of the team's triumph for the final stretch of the first stage of the tournament. At this moment, Alvinegro is in the qualifying zone for the repechage with an eye on a place in the quarter-finals of the national competition.

That we were finishing a lot and weren't scoring goals. Like I said, when we get in front of the goal and score goals, being effective, we were more calm to defend. So, I think that's it. He gave us peace of mind and asked us to score the goal, which is what gives us victory. us", he said.

Signed in 2025 by Corinthians, Da Bonja had a difficult start at Parque São Jorge. Right on his debut, he tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and missed the entirety of last season, only returning to play at the beginning of this year.
