The CWUR (Center for World University Rankings) ranking, which evaluates the performance of two thousand universities around the world, points out that, of the 52 Brazilian institutions on the list, five improved their performance compared to last year.

Two others maintained the same position and the other 45 fell.

The ranking has been created since 2012. It classifies the two thousand best universities in the world based on four criteria: quality of teaching, employability of alumni, quality of teaching staff and research performance.
