In early 2025, a scene went viral in which the First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron, slaps President Emmanuel Macron in the face before disembarking the plane in Vietnam.
According to journalist Florian Tardif, from "Paris Match" magazine, the incident was motivated by the alleged "platonic" relationship that the politician had with the French-Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani.
"For several months, Macron maintained a platonic relationship, with messages that went far beyond what was thought, according to sources close to me," said Florian Tardif.
"This caused tension in the couple, which culminated in this private scene that became public," said the reporter in an interview with RTL radio.

Who is Golshifteh Farahani
Born in Tehran, Golshifteh Farahani began her career in theater at the age of six. Her first film was "The Pear Tree" (1998), at the age of 14, for which she won the Best Actress award at the Fajr Film Festival, immediately becoming one of the stars of Iranian cinema.
Among his appearances in acclaimed productions are "Network of Lies" (2008), alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, and the series "Invasão" (2021).
In 2012, the actress was banned from Iran after posing nude for the French publication "Le Figaro Madame", as a form of protest against the restrictions imposed on women in her home country.
A year earlier, the actress had left Iran and moved to Paris in protest against the restrictive Islamic codes to which the country's film industry was subject.
