Final Farewell to Clive Davis - Music Legends Pay Tribute to Iconic Executive
Clive Davis, the legendary music executive who discovered and guided the careers of Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Bruce Springsteen and many others, received an emotional send-off in New York. He passed away at the age of 94 on June 22.
At Central Synagogue, artists including Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Dionne Warwick, Barry Manilow, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson and more paid tribute. Jennifer Hudson sang "Hallelujah" and "I Will Always Love You". Springsteen recalled his beginnings at age 22.
Davis presided over Columbia, founded Arista and J Records, and made his mark at Sony Music. Her pre-Grammy party was legendary. The legacy of "the man with the golden ear" lives on in the voices he helped shine.
A ceremony worthy of an industry giant!
