The film "A Viagem" has not yet been released, however, it is already possible to notice major changes between the feature film and the soap opera that aired on TV Globo in 1994, written by Ivani Ribeiro (1922-1995). Last Wednesday (27), a trailer released by the broadcaster on social media showed what the tone of the new work will be like.
The first major difference between the film and the serial involves the relationship between the brothers Diná (Carolina Dieckmmann) and Alexandre (Pedro Novaes). In the soap opera, Christiane Torloni's character opposes her family member's arrest and tries to defend him after he commits a crime. In the preview of the film, it is she herself who decides to hand the criminal over to the police.
The character Raul (Miguel Falabella) will not exist in the new version of the plot. In 1994, he was responsible for handing over his own brother to the authorities, a role that was left only to the protagonist in the production for the big screen (or streaming).
Téo, played by Maurício Mattar in Ivani Ribeiro's soap opera, will be one of Alexandre's victims in the film. The trailer will show the man, now played by Emílio Dantas, being shot by the villain. He was Diná's husband in the soap opera, but appears as someone more distant in the new version.
The preview shows the lawyer Otávio, played by Rodrigo Lombardi, as Diná's great companion. In the soap opera, Antonio Fagundes' protagonist took many chapters to win over the girl, since his objective at the beginning of the story was to incriminate the criminal.
Dina's daughter, in turn, will not be a child, as in the version from 32 years ago. Previously played by the then child actress Viviane Pinheiro, Paty will now play Lola Belli, aged 18, who has already been portrayed in the images released by Globo.
Despite being released by the broadcaster, the trailer for "A Viagem" was deleted from social media. The channel attributed the attitude to "force majeure".
