FIFA President is portrayed as Trump's puppet in the newspaper; SEE PICTURE

The president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, appears portrayed as a puppet of Donald Trump, on the cover this Wednesday (10) of the French newspaper "L'Équipe".
The publication, considered the main sports reference in France, criticizes the immigration restrictions adopted by the American government during the World Cup and highlights, in an ironic tone, the headline:
"Welcome to the USA".
The report cites the case of Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan, chosen by FIFA to play in World Cup matches. According to the newspaper, he spent around 11 hours being interrogated by American immigration authorities, was even kept in a cell and ended up being prevented from entering the country.
After that, he returned to Somalia, where he was received with celebration by the population.

In addition to the episode involving the referee, other cases recorded during the competition also covered the international press.
Striker Aymen Hussein, the main name of the Iraqi national team, was detained for approximately seven hours at immigration before receiving authorization to enter the United States.
A photographer accompanying the Iraqi national team was denied a visa upon landing in the country and was deported back to Baghdad.
The situation of the Iranian delegation also raised questions. Initially, Iranian players could only enter the United States on days when they played World Cup matches and would need to leave the country immediately after the games.
This Tuesday (9), however, the Reuters agency reported that the American authorities relaxed the measure and started allowing the team to arrive one day before the commitments.
