FIFA will maintain the scheduled time for the match between Mexico x England and Norway x Brazil, valid for the round of 16 of the World Cup, this Sunday (5), despite initial concerns that severe weather conditions could force changes to the schedule, a source familiar with the discussions told Reuters.

The duel between Mexico and England, at the Azteca Stadium, will continue at 9pm (Brasília time). The confrontation between Brazil and Norway, in New York, should also take place as planned, at 5 pm (Brasília time).

FIFA even considered bringing forward the start of the match between the Mexicans and the English due to the weather forecast.

A spokesperson for the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) had also stated that the duel between Brazil and Norway could be postponed by an hour if Mexico x England had its time changed.

In the previous phase of the competition, the match between Mexico and Ecuador, in the round of 32, had to be postponed for an hour due to rain.
