Fernanda Montenegro receives Golden Globe award: "Immensely happy"

Actress Fernanda Montenegro, 95, shared this Tuesday (26) that she received the Golden Globe career honor award.

The Grande Dame of Brazilian Theater shared a video of the trophy with the inscription "Fernanda Montenegro Award". "Golden Globe, thank you, immensely happy", he declared.

In March, the Golden Globes Tribute Gala Brazil gave the actress the award's highest honor, the Golden Globes Apogeu Award, given annually to an honoree whose work has generated a lasting impact on cinema and television. Those who were also honored on the night were Adolpho Veloso, Antonio Pitanga and Valentina Herszage.

The veteran competed for the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Dramatic Film in 1999, for her work in "Central do Brasil", but did not win the statuette, despite the production winning the award for "Best Film in a Foreign Language" in the same edition.
