Corinthians has already received the first installment provided for in the sponsorship contract signed with Fatal Fans, a company that creates and sells digital content. The information was confirmed by Samuel Ongaratto, executive at Atlas Technologies, the brand's administrator, during an interview with the program Entre Linhas, on Meu Timão.

According to the manager, the initial payment has already been made and is part of the financial schedule established between the parties. According to information released by Meu Timão, the first deposit was made this week and represents part of the R$ 22 million foreseen in the bond valid until December 2027.

When commenting on the beginning of the partnership, Ongaratto explained that the contract foresees a significant investment in the first few months.

"The first payment was made, relating to the signing of the contract. It was a very relevant amount for the club. Our contract provides that, right at the beginning of the partnership, there will be a disbursement of something around R$ 14 million."

The executive also confirmed that the Fatal Fans brand will begin to appear on Corinthians' uniforms and highlighted that the partnership covers the club's different sports.

"The partnership is already in place. We are already sponsors of Corinthians, the announcement has already been made and we will be on the field from then on. We will be present in all sports, taking the field with Timão."

During the interview, Ongaratto also stated that part of the resources provided for in the agreement could be allocated to men's football, including assisting the club in negotiations involving the permanence of important athletes, if necessary.

"In the conversations, part of the resources are allocated to this (men's football). But we understand that there is still a negotiation between the club and the athlete (Memphis) that needs to be concluded. The resources can also be used to help men's football maintain important contracts. This was also part of our negotiation."

When asked about the expected return on investment, the company representative stated that Fatal Fans' main objective is to strengthen its institutional image through the association with Corinthians.

"In a sponsorship like this, we don't calculate the return on investment, it's an investment seen as branding, something brand reputational. Being together with Corinthians is showing society, in general, the following message: 'Look, Fatal Fans is a serious, safe company, which is in accordance with the law'. This is the message we seek when allying with other brands, much more traditional than ours. It's not performance marketing. In a way, All the football investments we've made over time have been seen by us this way. It's branding.

Ongaratto also recalled that the company's interest in establishing a partnership with Corinthians began years before the contract was signed. According to him, the first attempts took place in 2022 and, after receiving denials, the company started to invest in other clubs to strengthen its presence in the market.

"In 2022 and 2023, Corinthians was one of the first clubs we visited. We tried to sponsor, but received a refusal. We asked what we could build so that, in the future, we could be partners with the club, and the recommendation was to start sponsoring smaller teams. From then on, we began an escalation, always aiming for Corinthians. We started with Sampaio Corrêa, then Ponte Preta, Paysandu and Vitória, and with the championships It was the same thing. We even sponsored friendlies for the Brazilian team, always building the brand, market perception and our reputation, showing that we are a serious company, that creates jobs, pays taxes and operates legitimately. Atlas is a software house, and its flagship products are Fatal Model and Fatal Fans, brands that operate in sensitive markets, but that represent legitimate businesses like any other."

Afterwards, the executive revealed that the company also sought to understand how Corinthians fans would react to the brand before the agreement was formalized, citing marketing actions carried out in recent years.

"At a certain point, the negatives we received (from Corinthians) were like: 'We don't know how the fans will react to your brand'. So we thought: let's test the crowd's reaction. The first announcement was in 2024, related to Pogba, and then we made another involving Memphis, last year. The fans' receptivity was so great, with polls showing between 80% and 90% approval, that we found a way to repay this support by donating to the Arena's crowdfunding."

Finally, Ongaratto stated that Fatal Fans' expectation is to expand its relationship with Corinthians over the next few years, although it has ruled out, at this moment, the possibility of taking on the role of master sponsor.

"My wish is that we can repeat what we did in several other clubs: make our brand the most beloved of all those on the uniform. We will prepare a series of activations to surprise the fans. And why not renew this contract in the future and gain more noble ownership of the shirt? Master, I immediately discard it, because it involves a very high investment, which today does not make sense for our market and is also beyond our reach. But why not think, in the future, about a front bar, back, shoulder blade, chest or other similar property? I would really like that to happen. We want to establish this connection with the club and the fans, make people understand who we are and what we are looking for and then, who knows, move up to a more noble property."
