♬ Group that revealed Seu Jorge in the 1990s with the edition from the album "Moro no Brasil" (1998), Farofa Carioca continues on the field. Keeping an eye on the game, the band takes advantage of Brazil's debut in the knockout phase of the 2026 World Cup and promotes the new single "Seleção Brasileira", in rotation since June 12th.
To stand out in the musical composition of the competition, Farofa Carioca enters the field with the swing of samba-funk in a recording made with musical production by Gabriel Moura.
Signed by Moura and the other members of the group (Mario Broder, Bertrand Doussain, Carlos Moura, Sergio Granha, Valmir Ribeiro, Sandrinho Carioca and Wellington Coelho), the composition "Seleção Brasileira" hits the goal post relating clichés in verses such as "I want to see who can hold us back / We are all Brazil / Put the ball in the net / The whole people enter the field to play".
However, the samba-funk beat works in favor of the turbocharged single with a clip conceived and produced by VJ Ricardo Muralhex to celebrate the mix that characterized the Brazilian people between studio images, takes captured outdoors and images generated by AI.
The Davi Salvatierra brass arrangement also counts points and means that, after two minutes and 20 seconds of recording, the balance of the single "Seleção Brasileira" is positive.
