Fábio Giga was with influencer Bitelo at the time he collided with Porsche
The influencer and nutritionist Fábio Giga informed, in a statement to the police, that he was with Bitelo, his friend and also an influencer, at the time he was driving a Porsche and that he caused a traffic accident on Saturday afternoon (6), in the Ipiranga neighborhood, in the south zone of São Paulo.
According to the document, Bitelo was in the passenger seat and Fábio was driving the luxury car. Famous in the fitness world, the two were returning from a gym when Giga lost control of the engine, hit a wall and, successively, four other vehicles on the road. Two drivers who were hit were thrown by the impact of the crash.
To the police, Fábio Giga reported that both are "known people" and, after a large crowd of people at the place asking for photos of the pair, Bitelo left the place and returned to the gym where they had left.
Giga was taken to the police station, where the case was registered as negligent bodily injury while driving a motor vehicle. He reported that he provided assistance to those involved and that he also carried out a breathalyzer test, which resulted negative for alcohol consumption.
The influencers were not injured. Only two motorcyclists, aged 51 and 43, needed to be rescued. They were taken to UPA Ipiranga and UPA Sacomã, both with no risk of death.
"He was driving at high speed", witnesses tell the police
In testimony, one of the affected drivers reported that he saw, in the rear view mirror, the Porsche approaching quickly. His vehicle was then hit from behind and thrown about 20 meters forward.
Another witness stated that the impact was "so strong" that his car was thrown upwards, had one of the front wheels ripped off and almost overturned.
Still in the incident report, the police also state that, based on the reports, Giga was driving "at first, at high speed".
The images from security cameras on the road recorded the moment the luxury car lost control. In one of the videos, it is possible to see the out-of-control car crossing the track.

What Fabio Giga's defense says
In a statement, lawyer Jaqueline Almeida de Jesus stated that Fabio Giga remained at the scene after the accident, collaborated with the authorities and immediately called emergency services. Read in full:
"Fábio Giga's technical defense has come forward to clarify the facts related to the traffic accident that occurred in the city of São Paulo, reaffirming his commitment to transparency, responsibility and respect for the victims and their families.
From the first moment after the incident, Mr. Fábio adopted a collaborative and responsible stance, remaining available for the necessary procedures, immediately activating the emergency services and providing assistance to those involved. It is also worth noting that a breathalyzer test was carried out, the result of which was negative for alcohol consumption, as recorded by the competent authorities.
It is important to highlight that, according to the information available to date, all victims are conscious, stable and without risk to their lives, remaining under the care and monitoring of the responsible medical teams.
Mr. Fábio not only provided immediate assistance after the accident, but will also continue to provide all necessary support to the victims and their families, both in relation to monitoring health care and repairing material damage resulting from the incident, demonstrating his concern and commitment to everyone involved.
The defense reinforces that the investigation of facts must occur calmly, responsibly and in compliance with due legal process, avoiding hasty conclusions or the dissemination of information that does not correspond to the reality of the events.
Finally, the defense expresses its solidarity with the victims and their families, reaffirms its confidence in the work of the competent authorities and remains available for any clarifications that may be necessary, always with respect for the truth of the facts and Justice."
