Fabio Assunção mourns his father's death at 84

Actor Fabio Assunção, 54, mourned the death of his father, Ivo Assunção Pinto, 84, last Monday night (1st). On Instagram, the artist said that the patriarch died on Saturday (30), but the wake and burial took place days later.

The farewell ceremony was attended by their children, João Assunção, 23, Ella Felipa, 15, and Alana Ayó, 5.

"The day before yesterday, May 30th, I lost my father. Today we said goodbye to him at the wake and funeral, surrounded by family, affection and presence. My three children stayed with me, and that gave another meaning to this farewell", he said online.

Also in the text, Fabio took the opportunity to thank his ex-wives, Karina Tavares, Ella's mother, and Ana Verena, mother of his youngest daughter Alana, for their support.

"I received a lot of affection from family members, from Ella's mother, and from Verena, my youngest daughter's mother, who remained by my side, supporting me, my mother and my children with enormous generosity and care. My mother was a strength, without needing to hide her deep sadness", he stated.

Before concluding, the actor stated that mourning is, in some way, relocating a relationship in the opposite direction of romantic encounters; filter the good memories and let them go in peace, with dignity, reverence and gratitude.

"All the ethical values that my father taught me remain here with me. He showed me Nelson Gonçalves, took me to Pacaembu to see Corinthians and spoke a lot about integrity, honesty and character. He was my father, the best he could be, my mother's husband for 60 years. I will miss him. My father leaves with honor at the age of 84. I carry with me only good memories. I don't keep anything negative. I loved him", he concluded.
