Exports to China grew 24.4% in June and 21.9% in the 1st half
Exports of Brazilian products to China grew 24.4% in June 2026 (totaling US$12.291 billion in the month, compared to US$9.877 billion in June 2025).
On the import side, there was a 27.1% increase in purchases from China in June (totaling US$7.801 billion, compared to US$6.140 billion in the same month last year).
As a result, Brazil had a surplus of US$4.49 billion with the Asian country in the sixth month of this year.
In the first half of 2026, compared to the same period of the previous year, sales to China grew 21.9% and reached US$58.322 billion. Purchases grew 8.% and totaled US$ 38.545 billion. Consequently, in this period, the trade balance showed a surplus of US$ 19.777 billion.
Argentina
In the case of Argentina, exports fell 18.1% and totaled US$ 1.325 billion. Imports rose 17.2% and totaled US$ 1.285 billion. Therefore, the trade balance with this trading partner showed a surplus of US$40 million.
In 2026, compared to the same period of the previous year, sales to Argentina fell 19.4% and reached US$7.352 billion. Imports grew 3.8% and reached US$6.401 billion. As a result, in this period, the trade balance with this country showed a positive balance of US$ 951 million.
Regarding the neighboring country, the director of the Department of Statistics and Foreign Trade Studies of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, Herlon Brandão, argued that there has been less demand from Argentines for Brazilian products.

European Union
Exports of Brazilian products to the European Union rose 32.4% in June this year and totaled US$4.888 billion, compared to US$3.418 billion in June 2025.
Purchases rose 13.9% (totaling US$4.708 billion, compared to US$4.133 billion in the same month last year). The trade balance with this block resulted in a surplus of US$ 180 million last month.
In the accumulated period from January to June 2026, in relation to the same period of the previous year, exports to the European Union grew 12.8% and reached US$ 26.906 billion.
Imports fell 0.4% and totaled US$ 24.263 billion. Consequently, in this period, the trade balance with this commercial bloc presented a surplus of US$ 2.643 billion.
Argentina and the EU, alongside China and the United States, are Brazil's main trading partners.
The data was recently released by the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services.
