The Brazilian team's new shirt for this year's World Cup caused controversy at some points. The presence of the word "Brasa" and the expression "Vai, Brasa" in some pieces raised criticism.

The inclusion was criticized by fans, who said that the term is not used by most Brazilians to refer to the country.

On CNN Esportes S/A this Sunday (24), Ygor Sampaio, head of intelligence, brands and consumer habits at AtlasIntel, broke down his company's research on people's opinions about "Vai, Brasa".

The survey showed that most people had never heard the expression, but connoisseurs did not like the choice. 40.6% voted "I didn't like it".

See the survey

- I really liked it: 4.9%
- I liked it: 11%
- Neutral: 16.1%
- I didn't like it: 40.6%
- I hated it: 27.4%

Ygor explained the choice of the topic for the research, emphasizing that the subject was much stronger in the digital environment in a bubble.

So, "Vai, Brasa", firstly, it was a very strong discussion on social media and we wanted to know if this discussion was also strong in everyday life, in people's daily lives. It turns out that it was a much stronger discussion in a bubble in the digital environment.

Brazilian uniforms
The two uniforms for the Brazilian team have already been released by Nike, the official supplier of sporting equipment. Unlike the alternate jersey, the home jersey will not feature the Air Jordan logo.

Vinicius Júnior, Estevão, Lucas Paquetá and Richarlison were chosen to star in the "Alegria que Terreira" campaign. The last two, however, were not called up by Ancelotti for this month's March friendlies against France and Croatia.

The second shirt, which caused controversy, marks the first time that the Jumpman logo appears on a national team uniform and is part of a partnership between the two brands. In addition to the uniform, the collaboration includes a collection of streetwear and training products inspired by the colors of the National Team. The line also features footwear and boot models developed to match Brazil's new reserve uniform.
