Even with the defeat, Brazil remains outside the top 5 in the FIFA rankings

FIFA updated the national team rankings this Thursday (4). In the new update, Brazil maintained sixth place, despite the 6-2 defeat of Panama on Sunday (31).

The Brazilian team has been outside the top 5 since the last update, on April 1st this year. In these two months, coach Carlo Ancelotti's team scored 1.5 points. Now, the national team accumulates 1762.66 points.

The first placed are, respectively, Argentina, Spain, France, England and Portugal. In addition to Brazil, Morocco, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany make up the top 10.

The next ranking update is on June 10th, the day before the opening of the World Cup. This will be the last one before the World Cup.

Until then, Brazil will have a friendly against Egypt, next Saturday (6), to increase its score. At the moment, the difference between the Seleção and the Portuguese team, fifth placed, is 1.17 points.
