Eurovision 2026: Bulgaria wins festival with song 'Bangaranga', by pop singer Dara

Bulgaria won this Saturday (16) the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with the song "Bangaranga", by pop singer Dara. The victory marked the country's first title in the history of the festival, held this year in Vienna, Austria.
The song scored 516 points and secured the top spot in the competition. As is tradition at Eurovision, first the national juries' scores were released and then the public votes.
"Bangaranga" topped the judges' vote, with 204 points, and also received 312 points in the televote. The song came in first place both among the juries and in the public vote - a feat that had not happened since the 2017 edition.

Who is Dara
Dara is one of the best-known pop artists in Bulgaria. She stood out for mixing different musical genres and for her strong stage presence.
The singer was known for hits such as "Thunder", "Call Me" and "Mr. Rover", tracks that topped the charts in the country. Dara also accumulates several number 1s in the official ranking of plays on Bulgarian radio.
"Bangaranga", winner of Eurovision, was written by Anne Judith Stokke Wik, Darina Yotova, Dimitris Kontopoulos and Monoir.
In addition to her musical career, Dara was a mentor on the program "The Voice of Bulgaria" in 2021 and 2022.
The artist's songs and video clips have accumulated more than 80 millions of reproductions and views. In 2025, she released the album "ADHDARA", described as her most personal project to date and which marked the expansion of her international career.
