The European Parliament approved this Tuesday (16) a reduction in import tariffs on several US products, fulfilling its part of a trade agreement signed last year, reported the news agency Reuters.
The approval comes eleven months after the agreement was signed, during a meeting at a Trump golf course in Scotland.

Faced with the delay, Trump threatened to impose "much higher" tariffs if the bloc did not adopt the measures by July 4.
By understanding, the EU agreed to eliminate tariffs on American industrial products and grant preferential access to US agricultural products. In return, the US maintained 15% tariffs on most European goods.
