The England team sounded the alarm on the eve of their World Cup debut. Full-back Tino Livramento suffered a thigh injury during training last Sunday (14) and was treated as a doubt for the start of the World Cup.

According to information published by Sky Sports and The New York Times, the player is under constant evaluation by the technical committee led by Thomas Tuchel. According to the publication, Trevoh Chalobah, defender of Chelsea-ING, is who will inherit the vacancy.

The decision on the cut will need to be taken urgently by the British technical committee. According to FIFA regulations, teams can make changes to the squad list due to serious injuries up to 24 hours before the competition kicks off.

However, football's highest governing body requires that the chosen substitute be present on the preliminary list of athletes previously sent by the federation.

Under the leadership of German coach Thomas Tuchel, England is in Group L of the continental tournament, alongside Croatia, Ghana and Panama. The English team's debut is scheduled for this Wednesday (17th), against the Croatians, at the AT&T Stadium, in Dallas, starting at 5pm (Brasília time).
