England debuts in the 2026 World Cup against Croatia this Wednesday (17th), at 5pm (Brasília time), in the first round of group L. Overcoming the theft of training equipment and a tornado scare, the English are in search of the world title after 60 years of their only victory in football's biggest competition.

Last week, the England team suffered a theft of training equipment before its arrival in Kansas City, after a vehicle transporting materials to the team's World Cup base was broken into, local police reported.

The incident occurred during the transfer of equipment from England's pre-tournament base in Florida to the Olympic Football Village, where it was supposed to be installed before the team began training after its arrival in Kansas City.

Balls and football boots were among the items believed to have been stolen, according to British press reports.

The United States Weather Service issued a warning for residents to seek shelter because of a severe storm, with the possibility of winds of up to 129 km/h.

Tornado warning sirens were activated on Saturday night (13), and authorities advised people to avoid areas near windows and stay in safe buildings.
