Filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner, who died in 2025, was posthumously nominated for an Emmy for his participation in the fourth season of the series "The Bear". The nominations were released this Wednesday (8).
Reiner was nominated in the category of best guest actor in a comedy series. This is the filmmaker's first nomination for an acting work since 1978, the year he won the award for best supporting actor for the classic "All in the Family".
After that, he became known as the director of cinema classics, such as "This is Spinal Tap" (1984), "Stand by Me" (1986), "The Princess Bride" (1987), "Harry and Sally - Made for Each Other" (1989) and "Crazy Obsession" (1990).

Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer were found dead in their home in Los Angeles on December 14, 2025. Los Angeles police later concluded that Nick Reiner killed his parents. At 32 years old, he was the couple's middle child.
The defendant faces two counts of aggravated murder and pleaded not guilty. If convicted, the sentence could range from the death penalty to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
According to the American press, there are reports that Nick was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was undergoing psychiatric treatment at the time of his parents' murder.
