"Emily in Paris": Netflix announces that sixth season will be the last
With a video of Lily Collins, 37, remembering several iconic moments from the last six years, Netflix confirmed that the series is coming to an end. In addition to the announcement, the actress also said that the episodes are already being officially recorded.
Continuing the last chaotic events of the fifth sequence, the new plot should go beyond France and Italy and take Emily and the cast to Greece and Monaco.
"I wanted to share something with you. After six unforgettable years of playing Emily Copper, I'm here to tell you that season six will be the last. Season six will deliver everything you love about the series and serve as the final chapter in Emily's grand adventure.
According to the Variety portal, the story should bring back the old romance between the influencer and the cook Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo. In addition to him, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Ashley Park (Mindy), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine) and Lucien Laviscount (Alfie) will also return to the plot.
"Our cast and crew are putting all their love into creating this fantastic farewell season, which we are shooting now. I can't wait for all the magic that awaits us as we celebrate our final season with you in the chicest way possible. We are extremely grateful and love you all. See you later!" concluded Lily.
"Same city, last chapter! After 6 years, 'Emily in Paris' will come to an end in its sixth and final season!", added the streaming platform in the caption.
Although they confirmed that recording is already underway, there are no further details about the expected release of the final season of the series on Netflix.
