Election in Colombia: Petro rejects result and points out irregular voting

The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, rejected in a publication in X the result of the first round of the country's election. With 99% of the votes counted, Abelardo de la Espriella led the votes and goes to the second round with Iván Cepeda.

In the publication, Petro says he does not accept the result of the preliminary vote count.

"Although the counting and counting software algorithms must remain static, they were changed three times in the last week, adding 800,000 voter registration forms belonging to people not included in the official census", claims the current president.

Petro also states that the polling stations show that thousands of votes were added without the existence of registered voters.
