Ecuador is preparing for the debut of the 2026 World Cup, where they will face Ivory Coast this Sunday (14), at 8 pm (Brasília time). Coach Sebastián Beccacece chose the starting lineup with three players who play in Brazil.

Alan Franco and Alan Minda, both from Atlético-MG, and Gonzalo Plata, from Flamengo, are the representatives of Brazilian football. Furthermore, center forward Enner Valencia, who currently plays in Mexico, was an Internacional athlete between 2023 and 2025.

In this way, the Ecuadorian team will take to the field with: Hernán Galíndez; Joel Ordóñez, Willian Pacho and Piero Hincapié; Moisés Caicedo, Pedro Vite, Alan Franco and Alan Minda; Gonzalo Plata, John Yeboah and Enner Valencia.

The clash is part of Group E of the World Cup. Earlier, Germany scored a 7-1 thrashing of Curaçao and leads the group with a great goal difference.
