Earthquakes in Venezuela: death toll rises to 2,295

The two earthquakes that hit Venezuela last week left 2,295 people dead, said this Wednesday (1st) the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez.

Thousands of other people were injured and left homeless as a result of the tremors, Rodríguez said in a statement on state television.
