Durigan: Desenserola renegotiated R$10 billion in 1.1 million operations

The Minister of Finance, Dario Durigan, stated this Thursday (21), that until May 14th, Novo Desenrola Brasil has already renegotiated R$ 10 billion, in 1.1 million operations.

Also according to the minister, 1 million CPFs have already benefited from the program; and that, of the operations carried out, more than 449 thousand debts were paid in cash.

The head of Finance and the executive secretary of the department, Rogério Ceron, held a press conference in which they took stock of the first ten days of the program.

According to the ministry, of the operations settled in cash, the original value of the debts totaled R$1.06 billion, turning into R$154.2 million. The average discount on these operations was 85%.

In the case of financed operations, which were guaranteed by the FGO (Operations Guarantee Fund), until May 19th, 685,504 thousand operations were refinanced, including renegotiation reserves, and effectively formalized.

The original value of the operations was R$9 billion, and with the renegotiation the amount fell to R$1.36 million, with the same average discount of 85%.

The government also updated data on debt renegotiation within the scope of Fies (Student Financing).

Until May 19, 34,087 contracts had been renegotiated, with a discount of approximately 80%. The original value of the debts was R$2.04 billion, and fell to R$410.2 million after the renegotiation agreements.
