Durigan: Country needs productivity and control of mandatory spending
Publicidade

The Minister of Finance, Dario Durigan, told CNN Brasil that the country needs to control the growth of mandatory spending to make room for investments and increase the economy's productivity.

During an interview, Durigan defended that public expenditure should grow at a slower pace than revenue and the economy, which, according to him, would allow Brazil to return to recording primary surpluses without "traumatic" measures.

The minister recognized the need to review indexations and make social policies more efficient, in addition to admitting that exceptions to the fiscal framework are not positive.
