Dua Lipa prepares three-day wedding party in Italy; see details
A few days after getting married, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are set to embark for Italy. The two plan a grand and luxurious party in Sicily, which should last three days and is scheduled to take place this month.
The 30-year-old singer and the 36-year-old actor got married in a civil ceremony on Sunday (31), in London, with only family and close friends present. The two started dating in January 2024 and got engaged in July of last year.
The celebration must take place at Villa Valguarnera, an important historical complex in Bagheria, and considered one of the most imposing points of the tourist destination. The two would have hired private teams and security.
According to the newspaper The Mirror, 300 guests would be on the list they made. Among them, famous people such as Elton John, with whom Dua collaborated on the song "Cold Heart" in 2021, Charli XCX and Tove Lo are mentioned.
There will be three days of celebration and guests must travel to the location in private jets. The publication estimates the total cost of the event to be £1 million, approximately R$7 million.
The "Radical Optimism" singer is also rumored to have hired French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus to create one of her looks.
Callum, who starred in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" (2016) and is tipped to be the next James Bond, asked the singer's sister and her friends for tips on making her engagement ring.
When confirming the engagement in an interview, Dua said she was obsessed with the jewelry. "It's so me. It's nice to know that the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with knows you really well."
