Driver drives car on rails and traffic is interrupted in SP
A car invaded the tracks of Line 7-Rubi, at Água Branca station, in the West Zone of São Paulo, and caused disruption to train circulation last Thursday night (9).
According to the Military Police, the 43-year-old driver showed signs of intoxication and refused to remove the vehicle from the railway track.
He refused to take the breathalyzer test and was sent to the Legal Medical Institute for a clinical examination. No one was injured, and there was no damage to the station's infrastructure.
In a note, the concessionaire TIC Trens reported that circulation was interrupted between the Palmeiras-Barra Funda and Lapa stations, from 10:25 pm to 10:43 pm. The company also regretted the inconvenience caused to passengers.
A passenger who was at the station recorded the incident. The images show the vehicle stopped on the tracks while teams responded to the incident. See:
