Draft agreement between the US and Iran provides for Iranian management of the Strait of Hormuz, says state TV While negotiations continue between the two countries, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says that the crossing of vessels from "hostile countries" through the strait remains prohibited. On Monday (25), the US Army stated that it carried out "self-defense attacks" in southern Iran. This Tuesday morning, Iran's supreme leader stated that the US will no longer be safe in the Middle East. The escalation of tension comes amid negotiations to end the conflict and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. According to Iranian media, ongoing negotiations include a request from Iran to release R$120 billion in Iranian assets frozen abroad.
