Dollar rises with GDP and US decision on PCC and CV on the radar
The dollar sustains a slight increase against the real in the first deals this Friday (29), with investors waiting for more details on the peace negotiations between the USA and Iran, while in Brazil the market digests the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) data for the first quarter.
The dispute over the formation of the end-of-month Ptax is another factor influencing prices this morning.
At 9:45 am, the dollar in cash rose 0.10%, to R$ 5.0434 on sale.
Calculated by the Central Bank based on spot market quotations, Ptax serves as a reference for the settlement of futures contracts.
At the end of each month, financial agents try to direct it to levels that are more convenient for their positions, whether long (in the direction of rising prices) or sold in dollars (in the downward direction).
On Thursday (28), the dollar in cash closed the day with a drop of 0.56%, at R$ 5.0331.
