Dollar opens higher as market awaits employment data
The dollar fluctuates close to stability against the real this Tuesday morning (30), although abroad the American currency is rising against most other currencies, in a session in Brazil to define the end-of-month Ptax.
At 9:25 am, the dollar in cash rose 0.46%, to R$ 5.1985 on sale.
On Monday (29), the American currency in cash closed with an increase of 0.06%, at R$ 5.1726.
Calculated by the Central Bank based on spot market quotations, Ptax serves as a reference for the settlement of futures contracts.
At the end of each month, financial agents try to direct it to levels that are more convenient for their positions, whether long (in the direction of rising prices) or sold in dollars (in the downward direction).
Due to the dispute, it is common for there to be greater volatility in the first half of the session, especially at times close to the BC collection windows, at 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm.
