Doctor leaves Corinthians Women's technical committee and says goodbye on social media

Doctor Vanessa Melo announced her departure from the Corinthians women's football department. The professional used social media last Monday (1st) to announce the end of her career at the club and thank her for the period in which she worked with the Brabas teams.

In a farewell post, Vanessa recalled her time at Corinthians, highlighting her interaction with the club's athletes and professionals, from the youth categories to the main team. The doctor also highlighted the lessons learned throughout her experience in women's football.

"Today I end my cycle with the Corinthians Women's Football Department. I am grateful for every step I have taken so far and for every athlete and every professional who has crossed my path, from the youth categories to the professional team, and who have taught me so much! They taught me about Sports Medicine, about Women's Football and about life... I take with me great experiences, friendships and many memories that will be marked forever. It's not like that girl who dreamed of and asked her father for everything from Corinthians has arrived this far?!

I will continue, now on the other side, always following and cheering with great affection, respect and admiration. You deserve every victory and every title in this story! It was an honor to walk alongside you. Thank you! Go Corinthians", said Vanessa in the publication.

The publication received messages from athletes from the black and white squad. Among them, Tamires and Andressa Alves expressed gratitude for the period of professional coexistence. Vic Albuquerque highlighted his affection for the doctor, while goalkeeper Lelê wished her success in continuing her career.

Vanessa Melo has been part of the technical committee of Corinthians Women since October 2025. At the time, she took on the role in the professional team after the departure of Dr. Lygia Neder, who became part of the committee of the Brazilian Women's Team.

Before arriving at Brabas' main squad, Vanessa had already accumulated experience within the club itself, working with the youth teams of Corinthians women's football. So far, Corinthians has not announced who will take over the role left by the professional in the sport's medical department.
