Doctor fired for harassing mother of patient at UPA in Campinas

A doctor was fired, this Thursday (4), from the Campinas municipal health network after being accused of harassing a patient's mother. According to the victim, the case occurred at the UPA (Emergency Care Unit) Campo Grande, where the suspect worked.

Campinas City Hall reported that the victim reported having suffered harassment from the professional and called the Military Police, who took him to the Police District for the appropriate legal procedures.

In a statement, Rede Mário Gatti said that it immediately informed the company the doctor worked for, which terminated the provider.

"The Mário Gatti Network strongly repudiates any conduct that disrespects the dignity, safety and trust of users of the public health network. Protection, welcoming and respect for patients are non-negotiable principles in care units."

CNN Brasil reached out to the SSP-SP (Public Security Secretariat of the State of São Paulo), which has not responded to date. The space remains open.
