Djokovic defeats João Fonseca's tormentor and advances to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon

Novak Djokovic is in the Wimbledon quarterfinals.

This Sunday (5), the Serb defeated Russian Roman Safiullin by 3 sets to 1 (7/6, 6/3, 3/6 and 6/3) to advance. Safiullin had defeated João Fonseca in the previous phase of the competition.

With the result, Djoko became the tennis player with the most singles wins in Grand Slam history, reaching his 106th triumph, surpassing Roger Federer.

In the quarterfinals, Novak Djokovic will face the winner of the duel between Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alejandro Davidovich.
