Disney employee is hit by 400-pound rubber ball on attraction
An employee at Walt Disney World in Florida was hailed as a hero after stopping a 400-pound rubber ball from ricocheting toward the audience during a live "Indiana Jones" show.
"It was coming toward us!" said an audience member in a video posted on YouTube. The incident occurred last Tuesday (30).
The ball hit the employee, who stepped forward to block it and prevent it from falling on the public, knocking him down. Colleagues rushed to help him and pulled him to his feet as he bled from the head.

Disney confirmed that the incident occurred during the "Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular" show at Disney World's Hollywood Studios theme park.
"We are focused on supporting our cast member, who is recovering," said one Disney spokesperson in a statement to AFP this Friday (2).
"This element of the show will be modified when our security team completes the assessment of what happened", he added.
The rubber ball refers to the scene of a rock chasing the character Indiana Jones - this is one of the most remembered moments from the film "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark", from 1981. This is the first film in Steven Spielberg's saga about the famous archaeologist, played by Harrison Ford.
