Dionne Warwick brings farewell tour to Brazil with exciting shows in three capitals
Dionne Warwick, one of the most notable voices in international music, prepares a special farewell to the Brazilian stage with the tour Over and Out: A Farewell Tour. At 85 years old, the singer returns to the country for performances that promise to thrill fans of different generations.
The artist, recognized for her vocal elegance and her importance in the history of pop, R&B and soul music, will perform three shows in Brazil in October. The performances are scheduled for Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Porto Alegre, bringing together in the repertoire great classics that spanned decades.
Pre-sales for Gold members of Clube Shows begin on June 3, at 12pm, initially for the shows in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. General sales for all cities begin on June 4th, also at 12pm, on the official event platforms.
In Rio de Janeiro, Dionne Warwick will perform at Vivo Rio, on October 17th, at 8:30pm. In São Paulo, the show takes place at Vibra São Paulo, on October 18, at 8pm. The Brazilian tour will end in Porto Alegre, at the Auditório Araújo Vianna, on October 21, at 9pm.
The expectation is for a night full of emotion, nostalgia and celebration. The repertoire will include unforgettable songs such as That's What Friends Are For, I Say a Little Prayer, Heartbreaker and I'll Never Love This Way Again. These are songs that helped transform Dionne Warwick into one of the most respected interpreters in world music.
The singer built a career marked by sophistication, sensitivity and precise interpretations. Her partnership with Burt Bacharach and Hal David was responsible for some of the most refined pop melodies of the 1960s, mixing elements of jazz, gospel, R&B and soul.
In addition to her farewell tour, Dionne Warwick prepares DWuets, announced as her last studio album. The project should bring together duets with artists from different generations, including names like Cynthia Erivo, John Legend and Kehlani, with songs written by Diane Warren.
With more than six decades of experience, five competitive Grammys, a Lifetime Achievement Award and entry into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Dionne Warwick says goodbye to the stage leaving an immense legacy.
