Diniz follows Gui Negão's evolution during the interseason at Corinthians

The interseason at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava has served Fernando Diniz to intensify individual work with some Corinthians players. Among them is striker Gui Negão, 19 years old, who is looking to gain more space in the professional squad for the remainder of the season.
Since Diniz's arrival at the club in April, the center forward has not yet entered the field under the coach's command. Before the World Cup calendar was halted, the young man appeared as the third option for the position, behind Yuri Alberto and Pedro Raul.

According to Itatiaia, Fernando Diniz has closely monitored Gui Negão's development in training, providing constant guidance and passing on individual feedback to the attacker during the team's activities at the CT.
The internal expectation is that, if he remains at Corinthians after the transfer window closes, the player may receive opportunities in the first matches of the second semester. Last Wednesday (8), Diniz was present at Fazendinha to watch the 1 x 0 defeat to Palmeiras, in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, closely observing the striker's performance.
Despite monitoring by the technical committee, Gui Negão's stay at Parque São Jorge is still not guaranteed. Corinthians remains attentive to the market and admits analyzing proposals considered financially advantageous, especially given the need to balance the club's accounts.
So far, clubs have shown interest in signing the player through loans with an option to buy. This model, however, does not please the black and white board of directors. Among those interested is Internacional.
Corinthians has also rejected significant offers for the attacker. At the end of 2025, an Arab football club presented an offer of 18 million euros (around R$105.8 million at current prices), which was rejected by the board. Before that, Zenit, from Russia, also had a proposal of 15 million euros (approximately R$88.1 million) rejected by the São Paulo club.
While the athlete's future remains undefined, Gui Negão's staff continues to receive inquiries from the international market. Recently, Galatasaray, from Türkiye, also sought information about the player's situation.
In the current season, Gui Negão played 12 matches for Corinthians, seven as a starter, and scored one goal. Since his debut with the main team, the striker has played 36 games, 21 of them starting among the starters, in addition to six goals scored and two assists.
In the last press conference before the season break, Fernando Diniz had already praised the striker's performance in training and explained that the lack of opportunities was related to the period in which the player was recovering from injury and the competition in the offensive sector. The coach stated that he is closely monitoring the young man's evolution and indicated that new opportunities may arise throughout the season.
