Diego Forlán reveals that he is available to manage Uruguay

Amidst the uncertainty surrounding the future of the Uruguayan national team after the unexpected disqualification from the World Cup in the group stage, one of the biggest names in local football made himself available to lead the national team.

Appearing on former striker Sergio Agüero's program on ESPN, he said he would accept the challenge if invited. "If they call me? Of course I'll go. You know how I would go", stated the player without hesitation.

A striker with a notable spell at Atlético de Madrid, Diego had his great moment with his country's team at the 2010 World Cup, held in South Africa. Celeste's main name, who finished the tournament in fourth place, was named the best player at the World Cup with five goals scored.

Revealed by Peñarol and also playing in English (Manchester United) and Italian (Inter Milan) football, the left-handed striker also played in Brazilian football and played for Internacional in 2012 and 2013.
